CV-9

Rugged. Stylish. Practical. Luxurious. This is CV-9. The 131-foot full-displacement superyacht with composite construction is a masterful study in contrasts. Performance-focused and comfort-obsessed, she’s named after an aircraft carrier that her owner was once a resident fighter pilot aboard. Her owners requested a classical yacht as relaxed as it is grand, yet seaworthy and reliable for long-range cruising. The expert team was briefed thoroughly on the owners’ wish list, and taking this to heart, Delta delivered beyond their expectations. One particular insistence was that vibration and noise must be kept to a minimum, which inspired Delta to innovate an impressive insulation-engineering solution. With an overall smooth ride and performance, CV-9 remains steady even in the roughest waters. She’s impressively quiet even at speeds over 14 knots.

Quiet comfort in every way was the main priority of her design brief as well. Her interior design scheme endows her with the unique ability to perform with effortless charm for her owners as well as her guests. Throughout her rooms, light-colored carpets and upholstery make a seamless transition to airy outdoor spaces. She features ample deck areas to enjoy open-air delights, with multiple opportunities for sunbathing and playing with water toys in addition to formal dining and cocktail gatherings. Her aft deck can be open for al fresco enjoyment, or enclosed and air-conditioned, extending the entertainment area of the main salon. One favorite area is her sky lounge that overlooks the main deck; it’s an intimate perch, yet fully celebrates the beauty of the changing view. In every way, CV-9 is the owners’ wishes made real—she’s a formidable yacht powerfully built to travel to the most far-flung places, yet filled with numerous personal and cozy touches—a true home-away-from-home on the water.
