Delta Marine Introduces new yacht design collaboration with Bannenberg & Rowell Design

A new design collaboration rooted in the shipyard’s DNA

(Seattle, WA) June 2026 — Delta Marine is partnering with internationally recognized, London-based design studio Bannenberg & Rowell on a new family of yachts that combines a contemporary aesthetic with a hybrid propulsion system, bringing adaptability across multiple platforms and scales. The collaboration offers the opportunity to create a yacht rooted in the Seattle shipyard’s DNA while introducing a forward-looking visual vocabulary, investing heavily in combining function and form.

“Our goal was to create a yacht that feels unmistakably Delta while introducing a fresh sense of dynamism and physicality,” said Simon Rowell, Bannenberg & Rowell Design.

The project marks a significant step forward for Delta Marine as the shipyard continues to expand its international profile while reinforcing its longstanding reputation for trusted craftsmanship. DELTA + B&R establishes a bold new visual identity for Delta, modern in character and adaptable across future yacht platforms.

The yacht’s exterior introduces a sculptural hull form defined by an intersection of creases that creates a subtle triangle motif, a physical interpretation of a delta. This surfacing language continues throughout the design in the aerodynamic angled canopies, sculpted aft bulwarks, and reverse-angled window apertures aft, creating a cohesive profile that conveys movement, precision, and strength.

DELTA + B&R 500

First off the drawing board is the 50-meter design developed as a sub-500 GRT platform, placing deliberate constraints on interior volume in favor of expanded external space. A 65-meter variant is currently under development, with the design scalable across the full 50- to 75-meter range. The exterior decks are conceived as extensions of the interiors, with expansive social and lounge spaces that flow inside and out. Oversailing horizontal elements and sculpted aft wings give the yacht a generous stance that emphasizes movement. Materials and finishes within the design have been intentionally developed as a flexible foundation for future owners.

Intended for a new generation of owners, DELTA + B&R balances a dynamic aesthetic with the practical demands of long-range cruising, watersports, and entertaining. The result is the best of both worlds, balancing adventure with relaxation.

Technology

DELTA + B&R will feature a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system incorporating advanced podded drive units and an integrated energy storage solution. This system combines conventional diesel generation with electric propulsion, delivering versatility across all operating profiles while significantly reducing fuel consumption and emissions. Engineered to meet the evolving expectations of modern yacht owners, the configuration preserves the range, performance, and reliability expected of a world-class yacht.

“The collaboration forms part of Delta Marine’s broader vision for the future, one that embraces international partnerships, evolving owner expectations, and continued commitment to engineering excellence,” said Michelle Jones, Delta Marine.

Delta Marine and Bannenberg & Rowell are setting a new benchmark for contemporary yacht design, one made possible through decades of technical expertise, engineering precision, and craftsmanship.
